I write with my invitation to this week’s Lunchtime Recital, given jointly by King Edward’s School and King Edward VI High School.
This week’s programme is not without its twist and turns, travelling from a movement of Kabalevsky’s ‘Cello Concerto, through a fantasy on themes from Carmen, to Scapple from the apple and Sing a song of song [sic.].
Our guides on this extra-ordinary road are Josh Wei, Connie Zhang, Jai Lewis, and Toby Painter; their company’s not to be missed.
The concert starts in the Ruddock Hall at 1310 on Thursday, 1 May. No tickets are required and all are welcome.
